Day 3 - Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment

Our first stop of the day is an ER run to Freddie's. Our coffee grinder packed it in this morning - and we must have coffee! We're not sure how the black helicopters were able to spot us on this unscheduled event. They are everywhere.

Of course, a day of adventuring has to start at the Bridgewater for lunch, tea and a view of the Columbia.

And foraging the new Co-op market.

Ilwaco's downtown is ghost.

Today's storms maintain a watchful eye on our progress.

The postcard perfect lighthouse pic. Light and clouds in perfect sync.

These sentient mats of seaweed along the coast are suspected of inventing online sports betting and Facebook, among other things.

The sentient seaweed is reproducing faster than tribbles - and quickly filling the nearby coves.

This little light built in 1898 laughs off the current storm.

Ellie wants to be the lightkeeper's dog. She has no idea how much education that entails.

The day gets late - but the spot showers of rain, hail and snow plan to keep their party going.
